This article discusses how to differentiate cooperative learning groups.  It provides many ideas and examples.  It also shows some of the challenges that may arise when differentiating cooperative learning groups and how to overcome these challenges.

 

Tomlinson, C.A. (1999). The Differentiated Classroom: Responding to the Needs of All Learners. Alexandria, VA: ASCD.

This book takes an in-depth look at differentiation in the classroom.  It was specifically used to look at learning environments that support differentiated instruction.  It provided many ideas and strategies to use to create this environment which will help all students be successful.
